Rapid City @ Tulsa 3/6 (W 3-1)

Its been said before numerous times already, we are in the position we are right now for 3 main reasons... 1) we are too pretty... always looking for that highlight reel, Wow goal instead of getting th dirty, greasy, ugly goals in front of the net. I think the injury bug that hit the team this year has something to do with that. Nobody wants to step in to those dirty areas and risk anymore injuries. 2) The Road Woes... for whatever reason this team has struggled on the road. We are basically a .500 club on the road and that's not gonna get the job done PERIOD. 3) Inconsistant play - whether its game to game or even period to period. This team has struggled to play 60 minutes of hockey each night. The guys don't bring it every night for whatever reason. Its also no secret that this team plays down to the opponents ability... we struggled w teams like Dayton, Laredo, Tulsa, Quad Cities, Bloomington. (and its not a knock against Tulsa or QC, just teams in my opinion we should beat)

The rest of the regular season will be playoff caliber games. We need to step up our game starting tonight and begin the playoffs now.

The Mallards are 2-9-1 against the Komets and Icemen. Against everyone else, the Mallards are 29-14-1. I hope this trend continues, and then the other trend reverses for the 2 games left vs the Icemen and Komets.

So true - the next 11 games should be considered must-wins by the team. I am quite sure they will not win them all - but, let's turn on that sense of urgency and play the way we know how! You play 60-minutes a game over this span - we will make the post-season. If not, we are going to need luck and will be depending on others to get us there.

Please bear with me - where is Perdicaro? I haven't heard his name the last couple of games. Also is there any word on Czuy? Looks like he's not on the roster tonight. We all know where (the name that isn't spoken) isn't. Dammit anyway. Could they finally ditch him and put the new D guy "insert name" there? Ignore the last, just daydreaming, it's the first part I'm curious about.

Okay, switched to a different thread - the speculations there about these 2 guys and what Coach might be doing is along the lines of what's crossed my mind too. So forget me.
