For me it still rumor, but seems to be everywhere. Allen continues to be mentioned in the same sentence as Colorado, Rapid City, Missouri and Ft Wayne as all looking at the ECHL. Some in the west. some in the east. The 2 conf dont play each other due to travel costs so the teams you play would depend on what conf you end up in.

Same rumor mill says all the other Texas teams forming a western conf of the SPHL or a new single A league. There are just to many places this shows up to discount it. Some fans of those northern teams might have insider info as well. Try 5minmajor, he seems to be up on the latest.

my sources? let's just say they within the Americans organization, the CHL and ECHL. Bottom line is, Allen WILL NOT accept being in a low level, crappy Texas 'A' league. Truth be told, their building and organization is best suited for the AHL, but Dallas is happy with their affiliate in Cedar Park. It's the ECHL next year for the Americans. Take it to the bank.

except for the very AA-like attendance numbers. i never once thought allen would be part of the group that moved down a league, though.

I can't get a yes or a no from the Brahmas.....but they are not denying it either. Dr Hockey says he will not support the Brahmas if they drop to single A. Personally I would kind of like it...NO MORE LEWIS!!!!
