Which former Rush player will hoist the cup?

Which former Rush player(s) will hoist the Cup? Who deserves to?

Mike Vaskivuo with Ft. Wayne
David Simoes with Missouri
R.G. Flath with Wicita
Brendon Hodge and Ryan Hand with Texas

I liked all those guys when they played for the Rush, but I think I'm gonna have to cheer for Hodgie and Mr. Hand this time around.

Simoes - I honestly do not see a better all-around team in the playoffs. Those guys are solid from front to back - I do not think those remaining can stay with them in a 7-game series.

I really have no problem with any of them hoisting it and I think they all deserve it if they earn it.

I think Missouri will take it all the way and win. In fact I think they might sweep Ft. Wayne (as they probably would have done to us if we had made it). I think Mike deserves it the most. I knew he would come back to haunt us after we told him to hit the road.

Mike definately had something to prove and he did just that. Wouldn't you be pissy about being told to leave? It was a terrible mistake that just might have been the biggest reason Rapid lost in the first round. I hope Joach has learned from this one.

I have to agree that waiving Vaski was quite a head-scratcher. I do have to admit though that all he seemed to do while playing for the Rush was turn the puck over and I loved his puck-handling skills, but there again it sure seemed liked the skills always ended up with the puck in the other team's possession most of the time. Seems like his style just didn't seem to mesh with the other guys on the team. Unfortunatedly it seems to have meshed well with the Komets...DARN IT!! :(

Mike...definitely NOT my pick for former Rush player to hoist the Cup! The cocky remarks and uncalled high-stick shots to our players are a bit too fresh in my mind still. Would like to see David Simoes or Hodgie take the Cup. Brendan is a good guy and Simoes it would be like keeping the Cup in the family so to speak...he's Konrad's brother in law afterall. :)

I would guess there was a reason for that. If you know anyone that sits by the penalty box, ask them what they think.

How much of a kick in the junk would it be if the Komets won the cup AND Vaskivou won playoff MVP???
